Impersonation is the most common attack against crypto communities, and it works because people aren't sure what legitimate contact looks like. So here it is, explicitly.
What Pearl will never do
- We will never DM you first. Not on Discord, X, Telegram, WhatsApp, or anywhere else. If someone claiming to be Pearl messages you out of the blue, it is not us.
- We will never ask for your seed phrase, private key, or wallet passphrase. There is no situation — no bug, no migration, no verification, no support case — where we need them.
- We will never ask you to connect your wallet to a site to "verify", "unlock", "sync", or "claim" anything.
- We will never ask you to send PRL to receive PRL. Not for fees, not for verification, not for an airdrop.
- We will never ask for remote access to your computer, or ask you to install screen-sharing software.
- We will never rush you. Urgency is a manipulation tactic. Real support gives you time to check.
- We do not have a Telegram support channel. Anyone offering Pearl support on Telegram is not us.
How we actually contact you
- By email, in reply to a ticket you opened. Our replies come from our official support address and reference your ticket number.
- In public channels — our Discord and our X account — where anyone can see what we said.
- In a Discord support ticket you opened yourself through our ticket bot.
The pattern is simple: you contact us first, and we reply in the same place. If contact starts from their side, in private, treat it as fake until proven otherwise.

Anything not on this list isn't us — however convincing the logo.
Someone claiming to be Pearl contacted me. Now what?
- Don't reply, and don't click anything they sent.
- Give them nothing — no seed phrase, no passphrase, no screen share, no PRL.
- Report and block them on the platform.
- Tell us, so we can warn others. Report it in our Discord or open a ticket.
If you already shared something
If you shared your seed phrase or private key, move your funds immediately to a new wallet with a new seed phrase you generate yourself. Assume the old wallet is compromised — anyone holding that seed can empty it at any time, and there is no way to revoke their access.
Then open a support ticket and tell us what happened. We can't reverse blockchain transactions, but we can help you secure what's left and we can act on the impersonation.
And please don't feel embarrassed about it. These attacks are professionally built and they catch careful people. Telling us quickly helps protect everyone else.
